Hello, readers, and welcome to another addition of the Grubanizer spotlight series. If this is your first time reading, we have selected some of our favorite group organizers on the site — Grubanizers — to highlight on our blog because of how fantastic they are. We ask them what they like, what makes them tick, what they like to eat and talk about. All the important things.
This week, we’re swinging the limelight onto one Ani Stepanian, the grubanizer of the Marketing Madness group (check it out here). We had a chat with Ani about what makes her tick, what makes her group click, and just why she likes doing what she does as one of our best Grubbers. Read on for our interview, then go check out her group and book a meal.
As an organizer of Marketing Madness, what interests you about meeting other LA marketers?
-One of my favorite aspects of marketing in general is its collaborative nature. I’m in love with how simplistically some brilliant ideas can be born. When I had the opportunity to start a group, I couldn’t think of a more innovative group of people to have dinner with!
-I’d invite Catherine the Great. She was a pioneer for education and an overall badass to say the least. She could probably teach me a thing or two about sticking to my guns and fighting for what I believe in.
-I make a pretty mean Armenian style pasta which I love to share. It’s so simple to make and yet completely delicious. (I know, I’m kind of biased) I love knowing that with only three ingredients I can keep everyone guessing about how I made it.
-I think the variety of restaurants and experiences is what really sets us apart. Some of us take that for granted and forget that dinning should be about the experience as much as it should be about GREAT GRUB.
Food, Friends, FantasticFun (Two words and a fake third one works fine and dandy too right?!?!?!)
